Assorted pottery at Preservation Society Shop, Charleston, SC c.2022

ceramic scg

ceramic scg is the brand of handmade pottery created by multi-disciplinary artist, Susan Gregory. A native of South Carolina, Susan studied ceramics in the North Carolina mountains at Western Carolina University. During a life chapter in San Francisco, CA she developed a love for California style. Along with the craft history in the mountain region where she studied, influences to her pottery include this West Coast warm modernism, the Japanese aesthetic as well as contemporary design and fashion. Most importantly, Susan enjoys ceramics as a means for art involved in everyday life.

She was a founding owner of cone 10 studios, a collective ceramic studio and gallery on the upper peninsula of Charleston, SC(2005-2019). And has now founded Studio Union, a professional art space in North Charleston, SC.

Her works can be found in stores and galleries locally and nationally. Additional stockist inquires are welcome. Individual commissions, restaurant and hotel collaborations are also part of her professional experience.
