The drawing is an original work that has first been replicated in carbon(Xerox) and collaged into encaustic paintings. An American odyssey through objects and landscape visually bringing a sense of place, The Nostos Project explores the concepts of home and memory, ancestral and contemporary. This exhibit by Vassiliki Falkehag and Susan C. Gregory, friends in art and life, presents works of installation, encaustic, mixed media painting and sculpture reflecting on their shared Greek-American experiences, having family lineage migrating Hellenic to Lowcountry.
